No i dont really think so indeed. jack is a cool guy that never would do make a set-up. this is because he already knows adrienne, but adrienne don't know jack. so i would say that this is not a set-up.

Total setup! Remember, he knew ahead of time that she was in the art business and said he had been in her office months before. Someone else on these boards mentioned this: remember in the very beginning, Adrienne's umbrella is the only RED one in a sea of black - this is likely symbolic of her being the "mark" that Jack/Frank/Daniel is setting up. As Freud says, there are no coincidences!
