I was just watching this on television and I laughed out loud when Adrienne is trying to get the necklace back from the little girl and her father is sweet talking her as Adrienne finally gets fed up, snatches the necklace and says "For Christ sake! Isn't anyone in charge around here?!"

I saw this movie for the first time today, and I loved that scene, too. I really liked the ultra-serious dad encouraging his daughter to talk through her disappointment about having to give the necklace back.

I saw this for the first time today and that line will forever stick with me! I love Goldie Hawn anyway (incredibly cute!). It was irritating how the mother and father were making excuses for the bratty kid and trying to reason with a kid. Just take the freaking thing and give it to her!
That line was great and made the movie!
Yeah, I don't like wimpy parents, so it was fun watching her just take the necklace.
