I love this film, I reckon it would be amazing to see this remade with some bigger actors. Basically keep the storyline the same

But instead cast (have had to modernise it a bit as well)

Orland Bloom - Judd Nelson
Kirsten Dunce - Lara Flynn Boyle
James Caviezel - Bill Paxton
Steven Segal - Rob Lowe

Also - John Cena, Vin Diesel, and the Rock

Anyone else think of other good people to cast as well??

That sounds like an awful idea. Not every movie that ever existed needs to be remade. THE DARK BACKWARD is wonderful as is.

what are you talking about bigger actors. At the time this film was made those were BIG names at the time. I recognized almost everyone in the cast. If they were to remake this prepares that should update the cast. Maybe thats what you meant.

Not that a remake of this classic cult title is even a remotely good idea but if they did it, here's my 'dream' cast:

Thomas Lennon - Marty Malt

Sam Rockwell - Gus

Ian Mcshane - Jackie Chrome

Vera Farmiga - Rosarita

Rutger Hauer - Doctor Scurvy

Christian Bale - Dirk Delta

Of course, both Bill Paxton and Judd Nelson would have to have slight cameos (Judd Nelson could even cameo as the "third arm")

Adam Rifkin would have to remake his own masterpiece. No one else could direct it.

I guess BoneWerks take on this is a little less offensive than the first one, but it's a TERRIBLE IDEA.

The original poster, with his stupid obsession with pretty people, doesn't even have the RIGHT to enjoy an awesome movie like The Dark Backward.

Ooo, baby, your domestic gross is SO BIG. That's how I know how GOOD you are!
