film location?

does anyone know the name and location of the courtyard house in the film? i heard it was restored and saved thanks to the movie.

If I remember correctly... the location is outside of Taiyuan in China. I visited it over 8 years ago. See the following link to Qiao Family Compound. It's worth visiting if you go to Shanxi.
