... a copy of this movie? I have seen it once (rental) and have been trying to find a copy to buy ever since. Closest I get is Amazon.UK but the region-code is wrong! In NL we need region code 2. I don't even want a copy with Dutch subtitles; the original version with UK/English subs would be great.

shareTry YesAsia.com and look for the Remastered Edition, Hong Kong version. It is a zone free release and the sound/video quality is very good. Currently it's out of stock but you can ask them to let you know when it is available.

Video format is NTSC. I know you use PAL in the Netherlands so hopefully your player can convert from NTSC to PAL.
In July, Raise The Red Lantern received a new release fromm MGM World Films. Try your nearest Barnes & Nobles for a copy of the film. It is a fantastic transfer, better (slightly) and more easily accessible than the Yes Asia version.
