Hi I want to get something really great for my friend for his birthday. He speaks Chinese, and I know one of his favorite movies is - Raise the Red Lantern, anyways - can you suggest some movies I can buy for him - that if he liked that one, he will like as well.

Perferably where they speak Chinese in the movie, not like Hero or whatever.

It dosn't have to be by Yimou Zhang, any Chinese movies you can think of are appreciated.

u could try Red Sorghum. another movie by Zhang Yimou. by the way, chinese names have their surenames in front unlike western names. unless that chinese person has his own english name like jackie chan. his chinese name is Chen (surename) Long.
