Why were the lanterns in Songlian's house lit in the closing scene.
Very good movie. I enjoyed it immensely. Good story, good acting, good directing.
Songlian lit them in the next-to-last scene of the movie, and I'm assuming they just let her keep them lit because she'd gone mad.
