'so when was the worst day of your life?'

"the same day"

i'm paraphrasing, but that's the end of one of the most touching scenes in a comedy...

the late bruno kirby really gave this movie a touch of reality and greatness, and the second one paled because of him not being in it...

that's my opinion.

i also think that was a great scene. brilliant writing, i love how he didnt want to say it at first, but felt like he ought to. its so realistic, but most films would just have him say it dramatically straiht away and force the sad moment.

Yes, that scene is what was once called "character development". A practice that Hollywood has all but forgotten.

What really sux is that it is often edited out of TV broadcasts, presumably for time, but who knows?

The ironic thing is that Ed is a cad. He admits he's a skirt chaser and that he gets propositioned a lot. He then says he doesn't want to cheat on his wife. Basically saying that he's thought about it. He's afraid of becoming his father.

Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?
