'Norman moos.'

I love this movie and I have closed captioning on my iTunes HD version of it.

I never noticed that there's a scene towards the end (when they are about to bring the herd in, I believe) where there's a shot of Norman and the closed captioning says:

Norman moos.
I fell off my chair laughing.

This just struck me as the funniest closed caption I've ever seen.

It's appropriate since the calf is called Norman through half of the movie, but it just seems hilarious to me that the description of the sound at that moment is:
Norman moos.
Maybe I'm over-reacting but I love this movie and this closed caption cracks me up.

There are a lot of funny moments in this movie.

It seems like a forgotten film but I think a lot of people know it and love it.

When Norman is in the water, the caption says:

Norman mewling.
Not as funny as "Norman moos" but cute.

I love the facial expressions they captured from the calves who played Norman, too. Norman had big wide innocent eyes like a human baby.

I guess that was the point (to portray the calf like a baby person).

I named my cat Norman since he has a black and white cow pattern. Very whiny sometimes, often tell him to quit his mewling :)

Love the face Norman gives Mitch on the ranch, and when Mitch rejoins Ed and Phil.

Milo, I've told you again and again - please, don't walk on the chickens!

Norman is a cute name for a pet of any kind.

The association with the movie makes it cute.

I loved Norman's facial expressions in the entire movie from the time he was born.

It was also cute that he was shivering when he took his first steps after his birth.

Maybe you agree with Gary Larson (of The Far Side) that anything have to do with cows is intrinsically funny.

Closed captioning descriptions of cow noises from their mouths is cute, anyway.
