What Crimes Did the Soul Patrol Comm..Were Accused Of?

I know what Lawrence was in for rape, the one brother reading the books was on appeal for murder and expected to be executed. Lawrence Fishburne's character had an Article 121 charge (need to look up the UCMJ). I am guessing that Sweatbread was the arsonist and Webb was the extortionist.

Also, why did the guys always pass Sweatbread their slices of bread during their meals. Is their something in the book that was left out of the movie?

Lawrence Fishburne's character was in for Theft. This is such a good movie and it really teaches people to have tolerence to other races.

What was wrong with sweetbread? Was he autistic, Shell shock (combat fatigue)?

at first you think he's just mute, cause he doesn't talk.

then you hear him singing for the first time, and it's like "oh, snap, this dude's really talented."

then during the fiasco at the end, he behaves likes he mentally retarded.

what gives?

Long time in answering the Article 121 thing, but it's Larceny in general and includes Wrongful Appropriation.
