Is Crenshaw any better today ??

anyone know ???

Look at the price of real estate there. You tell me.

Crenshaw even back then was not close to a real ''hood''. A working class neighborhood (at that time) with high crime better describes it. But there are plenty of places like that nation wide.

South Central /Compton has been overrun with Mexicans. It's funny in the movie, Furious is talking about gentrification, and wanting to keep the neighborhood black by keeping whites out, but in the end, the hordes of Mexicans just took the whole town.

sorry to hear that......... illegals?

either way, what are they doing there?

Funny, because not too long ago I Google mapped Crenshaw to see how it looked today for myself.

From what I saw there was a lot of nice, typical houses you'd see from any other suburban neighbourhood. Also saw many Caucasians walking about like anywhere else.

It led me to assume that the movie may have exaggerated how it was, bit I can't say for certain.
