talent behind the camera
A standout performance by Dustin Hoffman,but what people seem to forget is the grand lush cinematography by the late great Nestor Almendros,sadly this was his last film...Also of note is the remarkable production design by Paticia Von Brandenstien make this a beautiful looking film......And a very under rated film score by Mark Isham,id rate it up there with one of the greatest film scores"Once Upon A Time In America" by Ennio Morricone......Its a pity Robert Benton and Hoffman didnt do more movies together after this
