At the beginning of the film we find out that Missy and Mr. Presten broke up and now she's married to Ted's dad. So how come Bill still says "Hey missy, I mean mom." That's not his mother anymore! lol

nostalgic reasons, to bring back a little of the greatness from part 1.

True, but I still think the line obviously should have been said from Ted. I think it would have been a lot funnier and it would have made the audience think "Oh my god, Missy is now with Ted's dad?! lol" you know?
