love the similarities to twilight zone-anyone else make this connection?

For those that don't know, one of the writers, Chris Matheson, is the son of Richard Matheson, who was one of the main writers for the Twilight Zone.

It's really cool to watch the twilight zone marathon on SciFi and then watch these movies again. the bill & ted movies feature many of the same themes, characters, and situations that were on The Twilight Zone (but clearly in a more comedic tone).

time travel, abraham lincoln (a favorite character of Rod Serling), death as a person, challenging death to a game, the afterlife, aliens, robots, inadvertently traveling into the past or future, etc.

It's like a passing of the torch from father to son with such an awesome 80's comic twist thrown in to the mix.
