Do you like the Wyld Stallyns?
Their earlier work was a little too 'thrash metal' for my tastes but when they played the Battle of the Bands in '91, I think they really came into their own. Commercially and artistically. The whole performance has a clear, crisp sound. And a new sheen of consumate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. Then, they released this, "God Gave Rock n' Roll To You." A song so catchy most people don't even listen to the lyrics. But they should! Because it's not just about the plessures of partying, and the importance of rock 'n roll, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!
