There is something about the ending that just makes me happy. I used to watch this movie over and over when I was like 10 but sixteen years later the ending still brings a smile to my face. Go figure.
It's also on Bluray, but I don't see the point in buying blurays for movies that weren't filmed in HD. But hey, it's only 14.99 and it's an awesome movie. You owe it to yourself to buy it.

Just saw the ending on tv there, always makes me smile. Not the greatest film ever, but that ending just makes up for everything. And what a choice of song, class!
save the world? Come on, they did more than that, much much more ...
1) made the planets align 2) solved global warmining by playing air guitar 3) showed intelligent life exists in outer-space 4) proved once and for there is a God, a heaven, and hell, and that the Christian depiction is the correct one
"Uh, I don't recall them making reference to any specific religion. What they showed was an unseen but heard higher power and an afterlife where the good are rewarded and the bad are punished, which almost every faith has. ".
I think even you couldnt argue the images of Heaven and Hell are based on the Christian faith. Gatekeeper at heaven? giant horned beast who runs hell?
I was actually really impressed with the old rehashed idea of the Villain talk to the world, taken over all of TV and such, he's doing his little monologue, being all god like. The heroes win, and the world wide broadcast is still going on and every see's it and see's their performance.
I don't have anything to say on the subject aside from that I absolutely agree. The point of this post is to say, I absolutely LOVED Freaked(commenting on your user name).

It's a most magnificent conclusion indeed. Whenever I watch it, I just feel awesome inside, like the sheer power of their rock and roll really is gonna fix the world and bring about universal harmony.
