siskel has always been so uptight, and he was the bad cop of the two. and other than his cancer bout, i say ebert always loved movies and saw each one for what they were. He has always shown a positive outlook on movies and at the same time post the negatives based on his own clearly stated opinions. kudos for posting that dood.

I agree. Ebert was also one of the few critics that got Scarface and understood what it was about.

Who cares what two old farts think? Ebert has given bad reviews to nearly every film that has either gone on to become a classic, or just one I really love. I mean, The Goonies was a great flick, but Ebert just HAD to complain about it. Who lets an old geezer review movies aimed at young audiences???
