What exactly did Wyld Stallyn's music do to change the world?

From what we can tell in the headlines, Wyld Stallyn were basically 10 times what The Beatles were to us in how they helped change the world and influenced pop culture, politics, and social consciousness, and were still loved/considered legendary many years later. "Be Excellent to Each Other" is kinda like John's "Imagine" too.

However, I wonder just WHAT they did to set them apart from the tons of other rock bands and singers (Beatles included) to the point where it ended up achieving world peace and they were icons 700 years later?

I even wonder if musical trends went the same in their universe too. By 1991 (when BTBJ came out) grunge and alternative rock was already starting to take over the mainstream, and certainly was in full force by 1993.

Although there was still some fun and party style 80s rockers up to 1992 or early 93 (mostly the late hair metal pop bands like Firehouse, Extreme, or big sellers like Def Leppard), the kind of music B+T played and were raised on was already getting out of style even then, so I wonder if that hurt their career early on at all.

It's a film.

Well they were the first band to use time travel, go to hell/heaven and then return back to life. I'm sure that would certainly attract a huge number of fans and change the world.

I think they will be able to achieve world peace mainly because the good they have inside them, and about music skills, time travels helped a lot! But the main point IMHO is their innocence and kind heart.

Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native language.

Every human saw how they defeated a man who almost took over the world. And they saw them travelling through time and using that as a weapon (when something happens right after they say they'll go back and do it).

I think it's less the music, more their philosophy. But of course their philosophy would have made its way into their music.

Prof. Farnsworth: Oh. A lesson in not changing history from Mr. I'm-My-Own-Grandpa!

Like Rufus said, "Eventually, your music will help put an end to war and poverty. It will align the planets and bring them into universal harmony allowing meaningful contact with all forms of life from extraterrestrial beings to common household pets, and... it’s excellent for dancing."

Don't think too much about it. It doesn't really make sense.

It's more like a hippy fantasy than anything that could really happen.
