The Followers of Chuck Denomolos

What ever happened to those people taking the university hostage. They aren't with Denomilos after the evil robots of Bill and Ted were destroyed? They just vanished like the henchmen played by Jesse Ventura in Demolition Man. Movie mistake? It's considered a plot hole in Demolition Man when some of the villain's henchmen vanish with fates unresolved unless the movie had an expanded universe. Maybe the fate of DeNomolos's followers could be resolved in books or comics if the movie had books and comics to them. We see them holding Rufus's class hostage. Maybe they could be taken out in the sequel.

I imagine they were all arrested once Chucks plan failed. We should also keep in mind that the hostage situation had to happen, otherwise Bill and Ted never become the rock gods we're told they'll become. So that whole scenario had to take place before the authorities could step in.

There are comics to follow the movies.

They are coming out with a Part 3. Maybe those people have a new leader as those followers with the leader are arrested in the end in the time Bill & Ted are in their 40's.

Sylvester Stallone fights Jesse Ventura in Demolition Man was cut out.

There is a bit of a battle against the soldiers of Chuck De Nomolos in issue 6 of Bill & Ted's Most Triumphant Return.

I think the "villain" of Bill and Ted 3 is going to be the duos egos and\or their shared midlife crises.

Also, keep in mind that Rufus and Chuck's present is 600 years ahead of Bill and Ted's. That's 600 years worth of potential villains between the end of Bogus Journey and their present. I feel like using Chuck's henchmen for the third story would be needlessly repetitive. Especially since we know from the start that they cannot actually prevent Bill and Ted's ascent.

I read the comics that pick up from the movie. Maybe those soldiers to Chuck De Nomolos has been redeemed if Chuck is redeemed and is rebellion is prevented. This would make sense for the good to win over the bad.

Joss Ackland is still alive, so I could totally see Chuck being in the new one, whether he's redeemed or not. If he's not, then maybe he escaped from San Dimas jail - and that might be why a lot of the real life crap from the last 25 years has happened, like the L.A. riots, Waco, Oklahoma City, Columbine, 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Virginia Tech, Paris, Pulse Nightclub, et al. Or, if he's redeemed, maybe he can help them against a greater villain, albeit Bill and Ted will be skeptical and keeping an eye on him for a while.
