Liar, Liar, pants on fire!
Got any proof?

That's true, but Armageddeon had a bunch of BIG name stars (Bruce Willis, Ben Asslick, Liv Tyler, etc. etc.) - Abraxas only has Jesse Ventura, Sven-Ole Thorsen and James Belushi.. not going to happen, sadly.
But if "Red Heat" gets a Criterion release, then this movie could probably have a tiny small chance too...(Emphasis on 'tiny').
But dreams rarely comes true.
Secundus: Put your gun in my pocket!
im pretty sure i bought this movie at wal-mart for a dollar on a double feature with laser mission... i only bought it to get siome political background of my fine state and it was a dollar for 2 movies.
All hail the teachings of the great Jess Christ.
Criterion did discs for crap like Eyes Without A Face and fluff like The Blob, why not one for cheese like Abraxas?
"If you don't know the answer -change the question."
Maybe so. Call me cheap, but if anything, I think Anchor Bay or Blue Underground or even Elite Entertainment should do an SE of Abraxas. Criterion DVDs are nice, but they cost like $30.
shareCriterion is the most expensive because they're the most comprehensive. Anchor Bay is close, but doesn't quite reach the level of Criterion.
Also, for every movie Criterion has released, there's a full article on their website on why they considered the films to be worthy of that level of treatment, and damn if they aren't convincing. I seriously consider Armageddon (a film I used to hate) to be a great movie now.
Criterion would be crazy to do this movie. But even better news, Rifftrax is releasing it as a VOD!!! and that's a much better treatment than fluffy puffy Criterion. :)
