I just watched a commercial for the show on youtube which I remember from the time the series was shown. It is in film and some of it is outdoors. There are scenes I don't remember being in the show. Is this an unaired pilot? They are common in the world of tv, if so has anyone got it?
shareI'm not absolutely sure, but my first thought is no, it was just a commercial made to promote the show. I think it may have been filmed prior to Episode 1, and the reason I do not think it is an unaired pilot is because Episode 1 introduces everyone as if you are seeing Swans Crossing for the first time.
shareMaybe but sometimes pilots are almost the same as the first episode then the makers decide on changes and that is what becomes the first episode. Often a pilot will be made to sell a program rather than to broadcast it. This is the case with buffy the vampire slayer where an unaired pilot was used to sell the series but never intended for broadcast and had almost the same plot as the first episode. This is also the case with Dr who. This is what could have happened with swans crossing.
