If you went to summer camp, how close was it to this?

Clearly I would not expect it to be too exact, but if you went to Summer camp in the 90's or anytime around that, how close was it to the show? How long was the camp? Were the boy and girls bunks of opposite sides of camp? Did people sneak out of their bunks at night and was it a big deal if you got caught? How was the food? Was every sport and activity organized and was there a lot of downtime? Was bullying big back then? Things like that.

Camp for me was about 2 weeks. Genders were separated. Going home was the punishment for sneaking into the other genders rooms at night. Sneaking around at night resulted in not being allowed to participate in any activity the next day.

The food was mediocre. Downtime was about 2 hours in the evening, and for about 30 minutes after meals.

Bullying? Sure, but nothing exaggerated to the extent of the awful waffle. You see they had enough counselors who did their job unlike Ug-Lee.
