The summary of the show on the title page states that wife is "domineering." I totally disagree. She may be assertive but certainly not domineering. I don't think whoever wrote summary would have used that description for a male partner.
shareI couldn't agree more! Jill put up with a lot from Tim, but it was clear they shared the responsibility for the home and family. She was not domineering - frankly, I think that term would apply more to Debra on "Everybody Loves Raymond." I like that show, but they were constantly bickering and showed much less affection than the Taylors.

I agree! She was not domineering and they would not have described a male partner who behaved like Jill the same way.
