home imporvment was better when tool time was a main focus

When the show started focusing more on Tim's family (or Al, or Wilson) than on Tool Time the show fell downhill. Early shows were very Tool Time oriented (remember the Bob Vila lawnmower races); shows of late have given Tool Time only 30-60 seconds of each episode, largely to show us Debbe Dunning.

Yeah the later seasons where the kids got older was when the show started to loose its charm.

Yes, I agree. I haven't seen it in years and just started watching it again. Once Jill started back to school and the focus was more on her the show seemed to change.
