Obviously satirical bits you never picked up on as a kid

Has anybody else noticed some pointedly obvious satirical social commentaries watching this show as an adult that you never picked up on as a kid?

Here are a few I've noticed:

The episode where Doug's "painting" of Porkchop's and a raccoon's paw prints was obviously poking fun at reading too much into works of art and fawning over even the most banal details in famous artists' works(like when everyone oogles at the line Doug draws)

The whole "Dillon Farnum" dilemma Doug faced was obviously a message about conformity.

Not so much a commentary as it is something that's just funny--how obvious it is that the "Pnzi Puzzle Contest" is a total scam. (Dear "occupant", you are already a semi-finalist....just send this much money...etc.)

Anything with either Mayor White or Mr. Bluff was always cynical and satirical.

Mr. Bluff, talking to Doug during career day: "...is the first step to WORLD DOMINA--I mean, getting a job in business."

Mayor White: I KNOW YOU!

Doug: You do?!?!?!

Mayor White: You're a young person, a young voter... (something along those lines)

Another scene that comes to mind is Skeeter's dad talking to Mayor White, who is barely listening to him. Then he mentions how what Judy is doing to the school play could affect the voting for his reelection, and suddenly he sits up and straightens out his toupee. "I'm listening."

Every kid in the school rallying behind Doug's Magic Meat cartoon, wanting Doug to be a martyr for their political protest.

Mr. Shilacki (sp?), the guidance counselor...perhaps the most hilarious character ever conceived on the show, and that's saying something in a long line of hilarious characters. Just a parody of the stereotypical male counselor/therapist.

I believe in Doug's New Teacher, his substitute was seen reading a "Substitute Teaching For Dummies" book at one point.
