So Skeeter's black, Patty is hispanic, Doug is white or Chinese and what about Rodger?

All the characters were meant to be racially ambiguous with the exception of Sky Davis(no doubt inspired by Michael "Air" Jordan), who interestingly enough, was purple. Jim Jinkins said the reason why they made everybody a multitude of different colors was to show that, it didn't matter if you were blue or green, it's what's on the inside that counts. If anything, other than Sky Davis, everybody seems to be super anti-racially segregated. It's just a collection of people that happen to be different colors more than it is, "These people are Oranges, those are Greens!".
