shareI always felt that Doug was a series that leant itself well to a direct sequel. It could pick up where Disney left off and just do some high school years stuff. If Disney ends up doing it, though, Jinkins and the crew definitely need to work on the writing to bring back the charm of the Nick series, however.
shareNaturally, I'm behind him 100%! Doug is a show that could easily continue into the characters' high school years. Anything that could start a revival of classic 80s-and-90s Nick, even beyond The 90s Are All That, would set them back on the right track. That awesome block of programming needs to expand to include ALL of the 90s Nick shows, and become its own 24-hour channel. And hey, if a couple of the series could actually be revived (Doug being a prime choice), then that'd be all the better!
