Why was the audience booing Judy?

During Doug's fantasy on what Judy might do to him in the episode "Doug Can't Dig It", he has a fantasy where Judy does a performance on her bongos, and the audience boos her, but not after Judy says "Doug loves Patti!".

Why was the audience doing this to her?

Because people really don't get her bizarre beatnik performances. Only she and her fellow beatniks are really into the weird dramatic arts like that.

Also, it's Doug's fantasy, and he doesn't get/like Judy's performances.

My favorite Final Destination is the 4th – DEAL with it!
