Doug panel with Billy West, Fred Newman, Connie Shulman, Becca Lish

and Jim Jinkins. Fred Newman and Dan Sawyer start it out by playing some of the music from the series a little after 1:17:

My favorite part was getting to hear Billy West and Fred Newman interacting again as Doug and Porkchop. Billy's been doing that particular sample for his Doug voice for years as he toured doing interviews and panels, during which he's always had to do the dog bark himself, and that moment here where it hits him that he has the REAL Porkchop there with him to do it is epic.

I watched the whole thing. Including the Doug segment.

I noticed Becca said that she was initially cast as Skeeter. As far as I know, they never had her in mind for the making of the Doug Can't Dance pilot, in which Skeeter the D.J. (not written in as Doug's best friend yet), was voiced by Fred.

In fact, none of the characters Becca voiced were even in the pilot. The only cast members who worked on it were Doris Belack, Fred Newman, Billy West, and Connie Schulman.

Are you sure Skeeter wasn't supposed to be Doug's best friend yet in the Doug Can't Dance pilot? I've read that Jim Jinkins said there was a "Skeeter" in his life who was his best friend as a kid, although I suppose he could have made Skeeter to be the DJ first and then later decided he would make him representative of that kid he knew growing up.

Don't forget that the version of the pilot that aired as a regular episode featured additional footage. It's very easy to tell apart from the original pilot footage, because in that additional footage, the animation is better, and Billy West's Doug sounds more like how he did in season 1.

As I mentioned before, there were four versions of Billy West's voices for Doug and Roger: Pilot, Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3/4.

I think Billy really nailed down the voices of both characters by the last 26 episodes.

Thanks for the link, that's one of the best watches I've seen in a while.

I met Billy at the London Film And Comic Con in 2007. I was a member of his forum on his website. The forum isn't on his website now though. He realised who I was straight away, and he stood up and shook my hand. We talked about Doug. I asked him to do Doug and Roger's voices for me and he did!. I have been a fan of Doug since it first aired on tv. I know this might sound funny, but I had a crush on Roger lol. I usually like the bad guys/bullies in tv shows lol, but I don't like people like that in real life lol. I used to get bullied when I was younger, and watching Doug cheered me up.

I would love to meet Billy again. I hope he will come back to the UK.
