Is Mr. Dink retired?

If so, how old is he? And where does he get all that money for all that stuff that is "Very Expensive."

In the episode "Doug's Doodle", Ms. Wingo shows Doug an album of caricatures past students have drawn of her one of which is by Mr. Dink. So if Ms. Wingo was Mr. Dink's teacher too then he couldn't be but about 40 or not too much older you would think unless Ms. Wingo has continued teaching into a very old age or something.

Most elementary school teachers seem to retire around 58, I guess because that's when they've had 35 years of teaching.

If she's in her mid-to-late 50s and Mr. Dink was 11 or 12 when he had her, she must have been just starting out as a teacher given that he's gotta be in at least in his late 40s.

Probably makes more sense that she's just still teaching at an older age than usual, either because she started out a bit later or she loves what she does. She could definitely pass for mid-60s.

I think in the Disney version they revealed his job, but it's left a mystery in the Nickelodeon Doug. DINK = dual income, no kids, so he does something. He said he's a writer in Doug Bags a Neematoad, but I wasn't sure if that was just him talking out his ass.

In the episode "Doug's Big Catch" Mr. Dink says he has been searching for the fish that stole his wallet for 30 years. Later in the episode he talks about how when he was Doug's age so that would probably mean Mr. Dink is about 41 though you would assume he was older than that.

He definitely looks older than that, with the gray hair. He and Tippi seem to be in their 50s.
