In the episode where Doug loses his journal, Roger finds it, and says that he couldn't read it because it was nothing but Chicken scratches.
But then what about the heart above one page that says "PM" on it? Who else could "PM" stand for but Patti Mayonnaise? How did Roger miss this one?
Maybe Roger is so illiterate that he can't even read two letters. LOL

shareI don't think Roger was even thinking along those lines when he was trying to read it. We know what it means because we know about Doug's thoughts.
They also do have quite a few "extras" in Doug's class we aren't given names for, so perhaps one of them has the same initials.
or Roger could have thought that Doug had a crush on someone with those initials who didn't go to the same school as them.
