Doug's Garage Band Minus Doug

Doug gets kicked out of the band because Jimmy Spackle doesn't feel the banjo fits with Rock N Roll.

But Doug was doing more in the band than just strumming on the ol' banjo: he was singing. There's no denying that singing fits with rock n roll. Why didn't they just have Doug ditch the banjo and just sing?

It's a moot issue as Doug was probably gonna quit anyway

Doug: After the 8th drum solo, I realized I wasn't having fun anymore. If this is what I had to do to be famous...

Skeeter as well was unhappy with the direction the band was taking.

Doug: Well I guess the big guy never showed up.
Skeeter: Maybe that's good, Doug. I don't think "thinking big" was for us anyway.
