Catherine Zeta-Jones

I am a big fan of the show, I find it very endearing, entertaining and relaxing. But what always stands out is how gorgeous Catherine Zeta-Jones is here. Although she has always been beautiful, I think she is at her loveliest here especially with her hair, though the movie The Mask of Zorro is a very close runner up.

Anyone else agree?

I just watched a few of the episodes of this miniseries, and I was immediately seduced by Mariette. I wish I could jump into that show and switch places with Charley, the lucky bastard! After each episode finishes, I sink into a mild melancholy because I then realize it's just a TV show with actors.

I totally agree. A rather good adaptation of the books, which I also like very much.
After Catherine went to the USA, she got skinny and lost some of her beauty, imo.

What if this as good as it gets?

Yes she is very wholesome in this. Olive skinned and a lovely trim figure. I just bought the lot on DVD having rediscovered some episodes on catch-up via the computer. The ones on there are a bit disjointed so I bought the whole 3 series. I too find it very relaxing and a breath of fresh air.
