Reboot coming in 2018! (CONFIRMED FOR FAKE, SORRY.)

Also note, this was announced a day after the news that the DWD comic is returning in April.

...Ummm, not much to say, even as a huge Darkwing fun. It's not a continuation, so forget about the original series' cliffhangers (they were resolved in the comic book, anyway). And seeing as the Ducktales reboot is using a completely new cast, I wouldn't expect Jim Cummings, Terry McGovern and the rest to return.

It's a few years off, so nothing much to speculate. In terms of cartoon remakes, there's been good ones (Danger Mouse, Thundercats) and some bad ones (most Looney Tunes-related fare) recently. Hopefully it's the former for good ol' Darkwing.

EDIT: according to Tad Stones' and Jim Cummings' Facebook, this is an old April Fools Day prank.

So uhh,..... never mind. 

Glad to hear it. Though I do have one request of Disney with this. Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, DO NOT make this in CGI or Flash! Please just draw it, for your fans!

There is, however going to be new comics released by some of the old Boom!Comics team under the Joe's Books company, who'll be released in April!
