Am I the only one who can totally picture a current-gen DWD video game?
Seriously, how awesome would a PS2/multi-platform Darkwing Duck game be? With the kind of graphics they could produce (3D, if not CEL-SHADED), they could create some terrific and series-accurate visuals. Plus, with voice-acting in video games these-a-days, would it not make you just squeal with joy to hear the original cast resume their old roles for one last interactive hurrah?!? Hear Liquidator, Megavolt, QuackerJack, and the rest of the gang trash-talking the terror that flaps in the night during a heated battle! Roaming and fighting through 3D environments; figuring out which one of the trees isn't trying to kill you as you hunt for Bushroot (and his pet, Spike, who he'll sic on you to keep you busy as he digs into the ground to recover health) in the forest (plus, get to play Tarzan on the vines throughout the level), little water minions stopping you from confronting the Liquidator in the waterworks (climb pipes, close off potential escape points, etc.), taking out toy armies and motorized teeth as you go after QuackerJack in... um, a carnival or amusement park or something, cutting Megavolt off from all power sources in the power plant (while trying not to let him fry you with blasts and lightning fields), etc.. And countless varieties of Gas Gun ammo - old ones from the past games like Lightning Gas, Sleep Gas, and Heavy Gas, along with new ones like Sticky Gas, and a grappling hook feature thing, among ones I'm not creative enough to come up with. And on top of taking down each of your faves in one-on-one battles, the grand finale: the entire Fearsome Five at once, and as you finish off each one, it leads to Negaduck absorbin' 'em all to become the final boss, Mega Negaduck!!! Maybe even team up with (or even unlock to play as) allies like Morgana, Stegmutt, or Gizmo Duck. Go ahead....... tell me this wouldn't rock the world of each and every one of you.
