Prequel to more action-oriented TV-series
After the expected success with Fantastic Four, I think Michael Chiklis could make us happy with doing a movie based on The Commish. This could be a TV-film, and be some kind of prequel to the TV-series about asian culture I mention in my other post on this board.
As I said, Chiklis will return as Scali. And this time he will face one hell of a criminal. Someone kill people in the poor peoples’ ghetto, and the police don’t know how to solve the mystery. The connection between the dead people is that all the victims are beaten to death. And if that’s not enough, Scali has to work with a new partner, the nervous new policeman Floyd Pinker (Leonardo DiCaprio) who liked superheroes as a kid and dressed like them; he even had a Superman costume.
Can a young street mob (Chris Evans) have something to do with the killings. Maybe too many violent fighting movies have made him go crazy. Watching Terence Hill & Bud Spencer can be pretty bad.
A young blacksmith apprentice (David Gallagher) will come into the story, because he think that he can see the signs. He thinks that God has given him those powers, and it all started when he had nightmares about Satan as a kid, but also bad dreams about when God was angry and the stars exploded.
If Ioan Gruffudd and Julian McMahon do cameos as cops, and Jessica Alba as a hooker, it will be very nice to see. Stephen Sommers is the right one to direct!!! This will be a new kind of buddy cop style.
