Extras on The Commish like Cheryl Kaye Tardif go on to success
So many people were hired as extras for The Commish, which was filmed in Vancouver, BC. One of those extras has gone on to become a successful Canadian author. Cheryl Kaye Tardif, who played an extra in Season 2, Episode 5: The Witches of Eastbridge, which aired 31 October 1992, is now an Amazon.ca bestseller.
Her 2007 novel Whale Song is currently being read by numerous Hollywood film companies and other companies in the US and Canada. A screenplay has already been written. Her 2005 thriller The River is currently in negotiation for a feature film, and Divine Intervention, a psychic suspense, was considered for a TV movie or series.
"I loved the opportunity to be part of The Commish, a show I admired and loved," Tardif states on the trivia page of her website. "It was also an honor to meet Michael Chiklis and Stephen J. Cannell, although I'm sure they don't remember me." http://www.cherylktardif.com/trivia.htm
It would be interesting to hear if other extras or background actors have gone on to some form of related success. Where are they now? Are they doing anything movie related? What are their memories and experiences?
