telly 'kojak' savalas in 3 episodes? (as collette)

i happened to tune into an episode of this series where telly savalas guest starred, at first i didn't know what the heck it was, couse Kojak wasn't supose to be on. anyway, i kept watching this show, and it was a to-be-continued episode, so the next night it all came to a close. but it says here that telly savalas was in 3 episodes. could anyone explain?
