elvis?
Now that I am almost done watching the first season, I thought of how they made "Elvis." Anyone know if they used a real baby alligator? It moves like it is real sometimes, but I think it would have been hard for them to get one

They used a real alligator for the close up shots of Elvis, then it looks like they used a fake one whenever they have a wide shot of Clarissa's room. I'm almost positive that they probably just spent one day getting shots of the gator, then dropped in that footage in editing whenever they needed a close up of it.
By the way it probably wasn't too difficult to get a live alligator for that, the show was made in Florida after all, and they would have only needed it for one day and they probably got enough footage of it to last all the seasons.
Just my guess though.
Elvis wasn't in all the seasons.....
And to change the subject, while it is almost definate that he is named after the king of rock n roll I like to imagine it is after Elvis Costello! :D
Frankly, watchin' Donny beat Nazis to death is the closest we ever get to goin' to the movies.
Yeah he was only the first season I think. Then he got too big and they had to send him away.

Here's my signature.
maybe it was named after Sonny Crockets gator in Miami Vice both filmed in Florida
This is Miami Pal, but lately its starting to look a lot like Disney Land!
Yeah, a real alligator probably would have tried to climb out of that baby pool and explore if they just left it there. But I do think Alligators were a protected species in the early 90s.
