Clarissa is now on Teen Nick
Nickelodeon is bringing back the '90s.
Beginning this week, TeenNick will air a rotating lineup in the wee hours (midnight to 4 a.m.) that includes Clarissa, All That, Kenan and Kel and Doug.
Popular sitcoms All That, Clarissa Explains it All, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Rugrats, Rocket Power, Salute Your Shorts, The Amanda Show and Kenan & Kel will be added to a block of programming on TeenNick called "The '90s Are All That!"
"There is an entire generation of young people who literally grew up on these great 1990s series," TeenNick General Manager Keith Dawkins said. "TeenNick ... is the perfect place to reconnect these shows to their original fans and introduce them to younger viewers for the very first time."
In continuing with their nostalgic lineup, Nickelodeon will introduce a new, CG-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Led by Jason Biggs, who will voice Leonardo, the revamped Turtles will follow the foursome as they emerge from their hidden lair for the very first time. It's set to debut in 2012. Emmy-winning sitcom Friends will join Nick at Night in September, with Yes, Dear starring Mike O'Malley debuting in 2012.
"I'm excited ... because the show hasn't been seen in a long time," she says of the series went off the air 1994. "I showed [my sons] a [Clarissa] picture of me at 12 years old with missing teeth, my eyebrows were really big and bushy ... I'm like, 'Look — that's Mommy when she was a little girl.'"
Hart says she still harbors fond memories of learning to drive a car on the show's set, having her first boyfriend and being thrown a mock graduation.
