It still holds up...

Just started DVR'ing it off of Teenick. haven't watched it since the 90's. I was surprised the show still held up after all these years. sure the fashion and slang is dated. but the substance of the show shined through.

Today's episode was about Clarissa trying to stay true to herself. despite her irritating school Guidance Counselor Mrs. Cheesebrow. at the end of the episode she left aghast at Clariss not conforming to her definitonn of "normal". she and her parents did a cheer spelling out the word "Weird". they embraced Clarissa being herself. I couldn't help but clap. :-)

I know this post is almost two years old but I gotta say I agree. That's one of my favorite episodes. I love how her parents defended her creativity like they did. If you ever see "The Firm" it's a nice role reversal where Clarissa does the same for her dad when his new company tries to change him. The two are probably my favorite episodes of the show.
