Series 2 should be released 18th April

The one thing I don't like about the DVDs is that the BBC didn't bother to release them itself. Instead, they relied on the contractors, Eureka, who are probably going to get landed with all the fantastic sitcoms that the BBC doesn't care about any more - The Brittas Empire, and now 2point4 Children, both of which are miles better than the rubbish they show nowadays. Give me Gordon Brittas over Thermo-Man anyday.

The special features on the DVD are a bit crap, too. The "Tribute to Gary Olsen" should have been so much more than a dull voice-over reading Gary's life history.

They're really taking their time, given the amount of special features that are likely to be included...

That's absolutely ridiculous. Honestly - SEVEN MONTHS between season DVD releases? I could understand if it was a big-budget show with 20 episodes, but 2point4 Children clocks in at 6-8 half-hour episodes per season... and no special features either.

Why couldn't the BBC have done it in-house, instead of contracting it out to Eureka?
