Brilliant, iconic show!

Does anyone else absolutely ADORE this show? It just epitomises the 90s, the chemistry between the castmembers was brilliant, and the writing superb! To my mind, this show was to British families what The Simpsons is to American famiies - the working class Porters were the quintissential family unit. I also really loved the wackiness of the show - it was never afraid to get dark, strange, or just plain silly - exactly what comedy should be!

I have often read that the execrable 'My Family' is a successor to '2Point4' - not a bit of it! The dull, unfunny family at the centre of that show can't hold a candle to the Porters!

Here's to many more repeats or, even better, a full DVD set! Those of us who faithfully grew up with this wonderful show demand it!
