Remake this movie already!

Don't get me wrong, I love the original. Angelica Huston was perfect and gave a great performance. However, I think a remake needs to happen for two reasons: 1) I want to see a more faithful adaptation of the book to screen and 2) Roald Dahl's wonderfully dark children's masterpiece needs to be experienced by a new generation who may know nothing about this movie/book.

It doesn't seem like Hollywood's going to quit with remakes, so why doesn't anyone see the value in this story? If marketed correctly, it could be a huge money-maker for Warner Bros. (The only thing that truly matters to them).

I like that Guillermo Del Toro at least brought the idea of a remake to the table, but at this point it is not realistic that he would helm the project.

PLEASE, PLEASE! Someone take the reigns and bring this dark tale back to theaters.

Usually I hate remakes but this is one movie that is good for a remake. Because it's based on a Dahl book, it's good for a reinterpretation with the stuff this movie left out of the book. There wasn't a lot but enough to make a remake feel fresh.

I just don't envy who has to play the Grand High Witch after the great Anjelica Huston.

Yeah Angelica is definetly going to be a hard act to follow.

please. after its remade youll be posting how the original is the way its meant to be seen.

Only if it's a terrible remake. That always makes the originals look better by comparison.
