I sure hope it is true. Not sure about her as an Actress but I did a search for "The Witches Remake" and several hits for forums all talking about this same person and time line.

I saw this poster a few months ago and as far as I know, it is fan made. Although Guillermo Del Toro did say he was interested in doing a remake of this film, he has since gone on to do other projects and it does not look like we'll be getting a remake anytime soon (unfortunately).

That's fake. It's fan made. If there had been a real poster release there would be more official news about this.

Especially if they're anything like Burton's awful Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake.

Well, it wouldn't exactly be a remake of this movie, it would be a retelling of the original book. A classic example is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, which has countless film adaptations.
