The two stories felt padded and weren't good enough to make up the whole 2 hours. They needed at least one more story, if not more.

I just ordered tge,DVD to give it another shot. Reading up on the original plans to have more directors do more stories I feel this explains why I don't quite "love" it. They stretch the movie out to make a decent running time. And it hurts the movie In the long run. The stories are goid but needed to be shorter
It already has a 2 hour run time, so unless the additional story was very short, I think that would be overkill. The Romero one was pretty dull, and could have been shortened. I think Argento's "The Black Cat" is very good, and justifies its length.
