I saw the cover back when i was in like 3rd grade, and wanted to see the movie ever since (i was into giant mosnter films such as godzilla back then), i saw this movie about last night, those creatures don't look like dat!!

Yes you are right. Actually a lot of people have complained about the discrepancy between the actual Graboid and it's depiction on the cover.
I always found it interesting how the cover/poster for "Tremors" seems to be heavily "inspired" from the cover for "Jaws".
"I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude!"
The only discrepancy is the size. The cover only depicts one of the graboids' tongues.

I like it, always have. Like they are under everything no place is safe, it works for me.
I remember growing up magic in movies my imagination on fire I can still see some of that magic.
