is this a movie where modern technology would totally change it?

I am pretty sure if they had cell phones or the internet they would have been saved easily, rendering most of the movie moot. It is interesting to look at old movies and see how modern technology would change it

Dread the thought! The sequels were stinkers.

Cell phones never work in horror flicks. <G>

In any case, I doubt a wide spot in the road like Perfection, situated as it was in the middle of nowhere, would have had mobile service anyway.
