"See you at the party, Richter!" makes no sense
What a golden opportunity for a better pun!
This movie is full of one-liners and puns, and THAT is what they wrote? Come on, where's the imagination? Austin Powers would've come up with 5 better one-liners for that particular situation!
(Not to mention Scary Movie 2)
For example..
- I always keep my enemies at an arm's length
- You seem to be struggling, Richter - need a hand?
- You are such a professional, let me give you a hand!
- That's what you get for being Cohagen's handyman!
- Here are some hand-outs for ya!
- You didn't tell me to unhand you, Richter, but..
- I admire how you handled the situation, Richter!
- I guess you don't need the right to bear arms anymore!
- Don't worry, Richter, I'd never shoot an unarmed man!
- If you beg, I'll give arms to the poor, Richter!
- I guess you should've built a bigger ARMy, Richter!
- What's the sound of zero arms clapping?
- That's what you get for using such un(der)handed tactics!
- You'll never be a good armsdealer, Richter!
- Don't worry, I won't do you any more 'arm!
- I like Vivaldi, but you probably prefer Handel, Richter!
- I always knew your reach should exceed your grasp, but this is ridiculous!
.. AND SO ON!
Why, or why, do we get this completely 'armless one-liner, when it could've been something SO perfect... *sob*
Sigh.. why couldn't Quaid give him at least a left-handed compliment that would completely have disarmed Richter's hostility..?
