I really liked this movie. I'm wondering if there are any other ones like this one? With great dialogue against a well known play or story?

There aren't many movies like this. Shakespeare in Love was written by the same guy, but that movie is terrible.

i can honestly say that i haven't seen any other movie quite like this, maybe Stalker by Tarkovsky (but even that is a stretch)

This movie is several things at once. Wonder which particular parts were supposed to match.

Some possibilities:

Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead, Diva, Trust, Priest, Sid and Nancy, Henry V, Big Night, Immortal Beloved, We Think the World of You, Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie

I've seen it compared to "Waiting for Godot" but I haven't seen that one so I can't vouch for it.
